About Us

Welcome to the NSU Physician Assistant Program Orlando, Florida. The program is located in Nova Southeastern University's Regional Campus in Orlando. Conveniently located just off of I-4 at 4850 Millenia Boulevard near the Millenia Mall.

The PA Department is also pleased to offer a PA/MPH Concurrent Degree Program providing an opportunity for students to attain an MPH degree in addition to the entry-level Master of Medical Science Physician Assistant degree. Information regarding this opportunity can be reviewed here.

The Physician Assistant Program in Orlando offers educational excellence through the extensive experience of its faculty and its facilities housed in our 60,000 square foot state-of-the-art campus. The maximum enrollment of 64 admitted students in the Orlando program provides a very low student to faculty ratio.

The NSU PA Department has over 25 years of experience in preparing over 3,400 physician assistants to make a difference in health care as part of a team. Community Caring and Support

All four of NSU’s Physician Assistant degree programs embody a strong community service commitment to support urgent local and global community needs — particularly health care delivery for rural and underserved areas. Support activities vary by program/region and include:

  • Rural rotations with student housing provided
  • Free physicals for high schoolers
  • Holiday “Angel Trees” for low income families
  • Fundraising marathons
  • Global outreach efforts, including specific mission trips and “Clean the World” initiatives

There are two different applications you’ll need to submit as part of the admissions process.

  1. Start by submitting your CASPA application first.
  2. Once that application is verified by CASPA, you will then be sent the NSU Supplemental Application via an online link.

Welcome to the Nova Southeastern University Physician Assistant Program - Fort Lauderdale Campus. The Physician Assistant Program is located within Health Professions Division located on the main campus of Nova Southeastern University in Davie, Florida. Located on a 900,000 square foot campus, the university is located 15 minutes from the heart of Fort Lauderdale.

The PA Department is also pleased to offer a PA/MPH Concurrent Degree Program providing an opportunity for students to attain an MPH degree in addition to the entry-level Master of Medical Science Physician Assistant degree. Information regarding this opportunity can be reviewed here.

The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Continued status to the Nova Southeastern University - Fort Lauderdale Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Nova Southeastern University - Fort Lauderdale. Accreditation-Continued is an accreditation status granted when a currently accredited program is in compliance with the ARC-PA Standards.

Accreditation remains in effect until the program closes or withdraws from the accreditation process or until accreditation is withdrawn for failure to comply with the Standards. The approximate date for the next validation review of the program by the ARC-PA will be March 2025. The review date is contingent upon continued compliance with the Accreditation Standards and ARC-PA policy.

Our program has 14 full time faculty members who actively teach in class and laboratory sessions, as well as participate in various health care and educational committees and associations. Program class size ranges from 70-75 students per year, thereby maintaining a faculty student ratio of approximately 5:1. By utilizing the resources available through the College of Health Care Sciences, the program strives to achieve excellence and assist students in reaching their maximum potential. With over 1,400 graduates from our program; we are proud of our alumni who currently work in all areas of medicine, including active involvement in government and leadership positions.
