Our facility usage policy includes guidelines on rental requirements.

Licensing and permits

Rent a facility

If you're interested in booking one of our facilities or getting a more detailed quote, please complete the inquiry form to tell us more about your event. Staff will confirm the details of your event with you before finalizing the booking.

Community centres

Rent a room at one of our community centres to host a meeting, event or party. Depending on the location, rooms hold between 10 and 450 guests.

Parking is available at all community centres. 

All our community centres are wheelchair accessible.

Indoor pools

Rent one of our indoor pools for a birthday party or other event.

Parking is available at all pools. You cannot get a liquor licence for events at city pools.

Kiwanis Park and Pool

This venue is the perfect spot for any outdoor event, including:

• family reunions
• group picnic
• corporate retreat

You can rent the Tim Hortons or Beachside picnic shelters at Kiwanis Park and Pool for meetings or events.  

• rental fee: $30.60 per hour, including HST
• guest admission fee into Kiwanis Park is separate

Available amenities include:

• volleyball courts (bookable at $34.49 per hour, including HST)
• athletic fields
• canoe launch area
• outdoor swimming pool
• walking trails

Arenas

The Aud

You can rent rooms at The Aud for meetings or events. Room rates are per hour and include HST. Capacities include chairs only. If tables are required, the capacity will be less.

• Subscriber’s Lounge – seating capacity 220 people – $61.08 per hour, including HST
• KSA Viewing Lounge – seating capacity 200 people – $61.08 per hour, including HST
• Conference Room – seating capacity 12 people – $55.67 per hour, including HST

Activa Sportsplex

You can rent rooms at Activa Sportsplex for meetings or events. Room rates are per hour and include HST. Capacities include chairs only. If tables are required, the capacity will be less.

• Donna Weber Room – seating capacity 12 people – $55.67 per hour, including HST
• Murray Fried Room – seating capacity 45 people – $55.67 per hour, including HST

Lions Arena Hall

You can rent rooms at Lions Arena for meetings or events. Room rates are per hour and include HST. Capacities include chairs only. If tables are required, the capacity will be less.

Budd Park

You can rent rooms at Budd Park for meetings or events. Room rates are per hour and include HST. Capacities include chairs only. If tables are required, the capacity will be less.

You can rent rooms at the Kitchener Market for meetings or events. Room rates are per hour and include HST. Capacities include chairs only. If tables are required, the capacity will be less.

Victoria Park Pavilion

Host your wedding reception, corporate event or banquet at the Victoria Park Pavilion. This 1920s building overlooks Victoria Park in downtown Kitchener.

The pavilion’s main room features a stage and large windows looking out at the park.

Picnic shelters

The picnic shelters at Breithaupt Park, Victoria Park and the Kiwanis picnic shelter at Kiwanis Park are free to use on a first-come first-served basis. You do not need to reserve these shelters to use them.

You can rent the Tim Hortons or Beachside picnic shelters at Kiwanis Park and Pool for meetings or events.

Golf courses

Doon Valley

You can rent rooms at Doon Valley Golf Course for meetings or events. Capacities include chairs only. If tables are required, the capacity will be less.

• Meeting Room – seating capacity 20 people – $113.68 half day or $186.73 full day, including HST
• Banquet Room – seating capacity 120 people – $568.39 half day or $864.45 full day, including HST

Rockway

You can rent rooms at Rockway Golf Course for meetings or events. Capacities include chairs only. If tables are required, the capacity will be less.

• Meeting Room – seating capacity 20 people – $113.68 half day or $186.73 full day, including HST
• Banquet Room – seating capacity 120 people – $568.39 half day or $864.45 full day, including HST

Williamsburg Dedication Centre

You can rent rooms at the Williamsburg Dedication Centre for meetings or events. Room rates are per hour and include HST. Capacities include chairs only. If tables are required, the capacity will be less.

• seating capacity: 110 people
• up to one hour, no set up: $151.42 including HST (Monday to Friday), $205.66 (Saturday)
• up to three hours, room set up included: $563.87 including HST (Monday to Saturday), $818.12 (Sunday)

Mobile skatepark

You can rent the mobile skatepark for events.

• includes:
  • delivery of trailer
  • set-up of elements and supervision of the program by two staff for three hours
  • nine ramps, 5-foot quarter pipe, three-piece fly-over box, two 2-foot kicker ramps, two grind rails
  • loaner helmets, skateboards and scooters
• helmets are mandatory when using the skatepark.
• The Corporation of the City of Kitchener staff persons are solely responsible to transport, set-up, supervise the operations, and take down the Doon Skatium Mobile Skateboard Park.
• for rentals not on city property, the renters must provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance (minimum coverage $2 million) including The Corporation of the City of Kitchener an additional insured.
