I'm not the most floral scent liking person, especially the white floral but, it's alright

Anyone, other than me, finds a resemblance to Gio -Giorgio Armani? ... anyone?

mirrorghost07/13/22 15:26

mostly jasmine, musk and tuberose on me. there is a slight greenness too. i like my white florals a bit dirtier, but for the price this is fine and inoffensive. refreshing on a warm day.

Just got this for 4.50 at the sale. It reminds me of Dior Pure Poison but not as strong and a bit mellower. Smells a lot more sophisticated than your average body spray and I think it’s pretty sexy from the jasmine, which I think is the star note. Lovely, innocent, sensual. It’s actually making me think maybe it’s time to get a bottle of pure poison since I’m enjoying this one so much.

love love love, perfect use of tuberose and jasmine, reminds me of a 2010’s chick flick <3

smell is very clean and over strong for floral scent. if you use too much in summer, maybe u and arround can get headchance 🤷🏻♀️.
but its worth to use before sleep after take a bath ❤️. coz give some peaceful vibes

this is michael kors a bit more musky clean i love it i ca layer it with MK very well love it

As a lover of strong white florals, I adore this scent. Tuberose and gardenia dominate with a hint of musk. If you are a fan of Gucci Bloom then you will no doubt appreciate OIAM as well. :)

-Innocuous light and clean scent.
-Fabric mist in a bottle. (-)

This is my favorite BBW.
The review below from CherriedEmpress is spot on, this is very simple and this is exactly why it works for me.
It's a soft mix of Tuberose, Gardenia and Jasmine, smells natural to my nose and I don't detect much of anything else.
It's not soapy, musky, woody, patchouli-sh, overly sweet or bitter, it's simple, uncomplicated, pretty white floral that lasts well when sprayed on cloths.

Thanatos211611/02/20 07:46

This smells almost exactly like Gucci Bloom. And for the price, it's a great dupe.
If you like white floral, especially Gucci Bloom, you need to try this one out. You won't regret it, trust me.

Gucci Bloom's top note is jasmine, middle note is tuberose.
B&BW One in A Million's top note is tuberose, and middle note is jasmine.

So again, it's very similar! I haven't got the chance to wear this outside, so I don't really know the exact performance. Indoor, it lasts for maybe 3 hours? Outside might be around 2 since I live in a hot climate. Still, it's worth the price!

Not my fave. Its because I don't care for strong florals & thats what this is. Bold. Strong. In your face white floral. This may be great for someone else if your into this type of scent but for me NO bueno. The tuberose & gardenia & pink pepper hit you like a wrecking ball. If this is your thing you may love this. This isn't my thing.

Scent - 4/10 Strong white florals are not my thing

I got the small perfume purse spray version of this. It is a very pretty white floral blend to me - none of the tuberose/gardenia/jasmine stand out really distinctly but they are all there. It is an extremely clean, smooth, and prettied-up white floral so if indolic is not your thing, you'll like this. It starts with moderate sillage but the entire fragrance fades fairly quickly and is gone in around 3 hours, which I guess is understandable with the price. It's easy to respray all day with the purse spray but I can tell I'm going through it faster than more expensive brands that use fewer sprays less frequently. Not bad overall but I had hoped the perfume would do more relative to a body spray.

I needed an affordable mist to spray on generously during the quarantine and this is a blind buy.

A lot of tuberose, can smell the gardenia and jasmine afterwards, but the tuberose is definitely overshadowing the other flowers. A hint of pink pepper which makes the powdery musk more bearable for me.

Simply said, it's a fresh tuberose scent. Needs layering for more interesting outcome, nonetheless it serves its purpose as an all-over spray.

I really enjoy this fragrance. It is tuberose, gardenia and jasmine with some pepper in background. Itsvery floral and spicy I love it.
It does smell very similar to Bbw Velvet Tuberose. I still own velvet tuberose edp. They are so similar. I have owned 2 bottles of velvet tuberose bc it's one of my favs ... this is a great substitute:)
Ps. I received 3 compliments in a week. One from a very hard to please person..

I went to the store specifically to smell One in a Million and Kaleidoscope. Kaleidoscope impressed me, but One in a Million did not.

Gosh, this smells nothing like Velvet Tuberose. Disappointment! I can't even smell much tuberose at all in this compared my other tuberose-based perfumes. One in a Million is gardenia and jasmine. Velvet Tuberose is a super rich, cozy, warm tuberose. I own its eau de parfum, body mists, and lotions, and use them regularly.
To me they should not be compared on the "smells like" bar.

Despite that, One in a Million is pleasant and pretty enough, especially if you love simple white florals. Understand, though, that it definitely is simple... very, very simple. There is no complexity, no fantastic drydown.

I don't see any this as a nerdy, grandma scent, not at all. This is a fresh modern one. It is dry, but there is no powder, not much musk.

I walked in looking for unmistakable tuberose a la Velvet Tuberose, so I have a personal bias here. But despite the epically failed comparison, One in a Million gets a neutral vote from me.

Also, it doesn't smell like Kim Kardashian, either. The top notes have many similarities, but then they veer in opposite directions. KK is musky and sweet, the tuberose creamy and banana-like. One in a Million is just fresh.

Disclaimer: I was in the store during a semi-annual frenzy of sprays and lotions and candles wafting through the air.

An absolute love/hate fragrance from none other than the most fruity tooty house to ever exist. WTF?

This has a distinct *dryness* to it, and a powdery, slightly peppery musk. This is rated as a spring day frag so far, but I was reminded of chilly spring twilight immediately when spraying this my first time.

It's a sexy "grandma" fragrance that takes a nerdy soul to pull off. It isn't loud or imposing, but it's unapologetically floral; and it takes a person who embraces that to wear confidently. The tuberose is absolutely lovely, sharp and romantic at once. It strikes me as the scent of someone who is picky, analytical, but enjoys textbook romance ("Pick me up at 7, and don't be late. Also, get that car detailed."). Gardenia and jasmine are the backup singers, but not in the spotlight.

If you have an old soul and a simplistic, refined style (or are in some particular mood as such), this is for you. Like a few others I have reviewed, I cannot believe this came from BBW and is proof that BBW isn't merely a cheap/mainstream house.

Note *
Don't bother with the solid perfume. Stick to the FFM or EDP, and simply layer with lotion if you can. The solid perfumes are a major fail and BBW should scrap the idea going forward. The have the longevity of a fart in a gale.

Absolutely enthralling! One of my absolute favorite fragrances to go to, to the point that it terrifies me, and I bought it on a mere whim. A delectable, creamy, and quite heady tuberose and luscious gardenia blended so perfectly with beautiful jasmine and spunky pink pepper that I practically salivate when I apply it on. This is what put me on a kick for tuberose and gardenia fragrances. I’ve yet to find one that’s in the in same vein as this. I’ll seriously weep if they discontinue it.

This is an exact dupe of Crystal Gardenia by KKW.
If you love that one and want a body care line and body mist with it, you can get the whole one in a million line. Even the notes are the same. It is an exact exact dupe. Very pretty, gardenia and tuberose with a musky feel.

This summer I've bought One in a Million, Gingham, and Kaleidoscope from B&BW. One in a Million is by far my favorite and the best with my chemistry.
It is super feminine and the pink pepper rounds the tuberose and gardenia out perfectly. I have worn it alot and hoping it may be somewhat wearable in Winter as well.

This smells like the Micheal Kors, Gucci Bloom and the Kim Kardashian perfumes. A tuberose and gardenia fragrance. One can possibly get away with saying it's one of the three aforementioned fragrances when asked what scent they're wearing. Longevity is decent for a body spray and it's a grown up floral that's tolerable for someone like me who despises a full on floral fragrance.

Sadly, this one doesn't work on me. I get an aroma of something like currant that ends up smelling a bit like urine under the white florals.

I really like this fragrance, it shimmers and sparkles in hot weather the most.

When first applied, it is strong and in your face. Once a few minutes pass, it really mellows out to a beautiful white floral.

Tuberose can be a bit tricky note to work with because if done 'improperly' it can take a very stale and bitter turn. This however is the exact opposite.

BBW did a fantastic job of creating a creamy and fresh tuberose again but it doesn't fully replace velvet tuberose.

Per suggestions from some awesome Fragranticans, I purchased the EDP off eBay and in VERY happy with it! The tuberose is dainty and mellow here, and it’s perfectly blended with the gardenia and musk elements. Unlike KK or Kors, this tuberose does not screech or turn sour/synthetic on drydown. It stays fresh and crisp. For a BB&W fragrance the longevity is surprisingly good! I’m pleased with this and I wish I had found it sooner! 12 hours later I can still smell it on my clothes as a close skin scent.

Scent 8/10
Sillage 7/10
Longevity 9/10

I'm a Bath and Body Works addict, and this along with "In the Stars" are some of the best new additions to their collections in ages, and they both are so drastically different than everything else you will find in a B&BW store. "One In a Million" smells like a newer, lighter, fresher, more modern Fracas. A fluttery tuberose takes front and center, with gardenia lingering in the background. Pink pepper brings freshness and a more modern feel to the white florals. My only gripe is that the perfume spray isn't very long lasting. It lingers close to the skin after a good 8 hours, however, it doesn't completely disappear. I'm looking forward to trying more of the bath and body products.

I bought this and I really enjoy it... The mini perfume spray is the way to go with all the newer B&BWs scents.... Oh, I wish they would do a mimi perfume spray in some of their classic scents! Anyway, this is definitely a spring scent. Possibly summer if it's not too hot. It's very feminine and floral, but it could be overwhelming in a hot, muggy situation. It is very lovely though, well rounded but definite predominately floral. Thumbs up!

Surprisingly good. I love Bath and Body Works dearly, but they tend to ruin otherwise great fragrances with annoying notes like pear or berry. This one is just white florals and it smells really beautiful. Side note: the wallflower fragrance plugin version smells beautiful too.

Not bad. I like tuberose but " on the safe side" if you get me. This does kind of remind me of Velvet Tuberose( has it been gone that long???) but it's very subtle. I think they make an stronger wet spray rather than the body spray, I might pick it up soon.
Their new scent Gingham is nice too.

DarlingNikki03/21/19 17:54

The three iterations of OIAM--shower gel, body mist, and lotion--all smell slightly different to me. I don't care for the shower gel at all (my mom, however, loves it so I gifted it to her), but the lotion actually smells nice. The body mist is so-so, has that typical alcohol opening that burns off quickly and leaves a light tuberose-ish scent behind that reminds me of Gucci Bloom. A nice, safe scent to get for someone who likes white florals and needs something light enough for office wear in environments where fragrance may be a no-no (it doesn't last terribly long, but there is a skin scent lingering effect for a few hours on me).

This is the best thing BBW has put out in AGES. I was skeptical, but I smelled it yesterday. It is an actual fresh tuberose fragrance, like a lower-priced Diptyque Do Son! I couldn't believe it. They've generally been stepping it up after a few years of disappointing all-the-same-vat fruity musk. The seasonal/tropical aromatherapy line they have right now is such a good idea and those scents are great. I wish they'd make One in a Million as an EDP or EDT in a bigger bottle than the little purse size they have. But it's worth buying in a body spray!

i wouldn't have looked at this scent twice if it wasn't for this site. Since lately everything in BBW been smelling same so i kind of gave up on them.
But when i saw on here that its white floral/tuberose/gardenia scent, i was like "omg i have to try it"
I LOVE it! and its been a long damn time since i actually felt that way about one of their scents. Its very creamy, well blended white floral that not really about fresh green florals but sweet and heady ones. BBW seems to have done away with lot of edt they use to have so this one, i only seen perfume purse sprays other than body sprays(which i usually try to avoid). So i got little purse spray and body cream and I been wearing it literally every day. I am a gourmand girl but i haven't been able to tolerate anything too sweet lately so i decided to take a break with some florals. This fits the bill perfectly.
I hope BBW doesn't discontinue this gem as they usually do

Tested/bought body spray today.

This does smell similar to JPG's discontinued Fragile, but...obviously...way lighter.
The gardenia/tuberose is "greeny" and "pressed down" by the pink pepper/musky notes...and the jasmine adds brightness.
It also has the animalic vibe..but it is smooth/fresh animalic...if that makes any sense...lol. This one sits close to the skin, but initially projects enough to be pleasing. Oddly enough, I can't stop smelling my hand where I sprayed it...so this is a "good like" for me so far....(I even bought the body wash too). Now,kinda wishing they had a edt/edp available in this.

woodensandals02/08/19 18:57

I just tried this scent today and it is very similar to JPG's discontinued and beloved Fragile.
Creamy, heady tuberose and jasmine with that pink peppercorn scent that I have not been able to find in other tuberose perfumes.

At the mall I passed by a Bath and Body Works store with a display of this fragrance. I hadn't tried any of their new scents in years, so I gave my arm one spritz with the body mist tester. It was pleasant at first, nice bright white florals, but after a couple of hours it morphed into a tuberose monster on me. With one spray! It was not very warm today either for where I live, about 60F (that's chilly for Southern California daytime temperatures). I have a headache from it as I type this. I guess I have to be careful with tuberose in the future. Test One in a Million before you buy, and use sparingly in warmer weather.
