Messy to use
The dirty water compartment is irksome in that as I tried to remove compartment piece, the gross water sloshed out on me and floor. Tried to dump water in the toilet but it got everywhere so I moved emptying process to the tub. The plug that lets dirty water out is made of rubber and with wet hands from being sloshed on just removing the compartment, it is beyond difficult to unplug the plug to empty out compartment.

The unit is OK at best. The unit leaks out of the back constantly leaving you to clean up puddles as you vacuum the real area of concern. I opened the brand new unit and found the suction motor was not sealed around the boot for the vacuum duct, so I added silicone to seal the boot, seemed to work for one application. Next time it was used, leaked all over to the point I had to use a wet/dry vac to cleanup the water.
Let's move into the battery life... you're lucky to get 15 minutes out of this unit since it has to be running in order for the sprayer to work but that leaves the vacuum motor running constantly which drains the battery. After applying the cleaner i turned off the unit to use the scrub brush, then turned it back on to vacuum up the water only for it to leave puddles at the back end of the unit.
My opinion: Save your money! Buy the canister style unit as that seems to be a much better built unit.

I’ve been loyal to Bissel for years. I had the big stand up cleaner that the heat went out on and the front plastic piece chipped. Got a Spotbot that stopped working except for the hose. I continued using it for years and eventually replaced it. 2nd Spotbot hose broke so I started just using the main body. That also went out. So, I decided to try this handheld while my son is potty training. It seemed ok at first, despite reviews that it leaks. Sure enough, the 2nd time I used it all the cleaner leaked out everywhere. So we started only putting just enough solution in for whatever small job we had. The suction isn’t great but we made do. NOW, the sprayer has stopped completely. We can’t even spray solution so now we have nothing to clean baby pee up with. I am so frustrated and completely disappointed. This is the 4th product in about 8 years that has stopped working on me from Bissell.
