To remove the Brush Roll cover, you will need to press on the two release buttons on the sides and lift straight up. Please refer for the image below for additional information on how to clean the Brush Roll and Nozzle.

Can this be used to clean the seats in a vehicle that dogs have been on?

This cleaner is not designed for use as a standard vacuum. It features a Deep Clean Mode which offers powerful cleaning, as well as the Express Clean Mode that allows carpets to dry in about an hour.
Does the dirty water container have a basket that catches the pet hair?

This cleaner does not have a basket attached however, there is a red filter, below the dirty water tank, that may be cleaned by wiping off any remaining dirt or debris.

Life Saver
I bought this exact carpet cleaner but from bissell which cost more. Wish I had checked chewy first but highly recommend this cleaner and for this price it's a worth every penny.
