Yes. Not a hard job, although you have the wheel without the inserts. You'll need to swap the wheel. You can find the wheel with the same airbag style for cheap on eBay (although it'll be a 4 spoke, not 3 spoke), but if you want to upgrade to the round airbag, good luck finding the airbag. New airbag is 700 euro. You can find the square airbags for the three spoke wheels for about 150 euro on ebay.
The MFSW buttons are about 50-100 euro used for a pair with
the steering wheel wiring.
I totally forgot to add, but you do need to have the highline steering wheel module (about 80 euro used). Since you already have cruise control, you might already have the highline module. Finally a clockspring (20 euro if you get the volkswagen equivalent), but again, you might be lucky there as well.
All I had to do for the A3 8P was to get the buttons, as the wheel had the covers instead of the buttons (so super lucky).
Look at
