JONATHAN C. MCCABE, DMD, MD

Dr. Jonathan McCabe is eager to share his passion for delivering exceptional patient care and providing the ideal patient experience to the residents of Lakeville and surrounding areas. He is dedicated to the needs of each individual patient and takes great satisfaction in navigating patients comfortably through their oral surgery experience.

PATRICK CURRAN, DDS

Dr. Curran was born in the Twin Cities South Metro and spent much of his upbringing in Lakeville, MN. He is a graduate of Lakeville Senior High School and went on to play collegiate tennis for St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. After obtaining a BA in Biology from St. Olaf, Dr. Curran furthered his studies at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS). Following dental school, Dr. Curran completed an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Internship at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, Louisiana. He then moved back to his home state to complete his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Minnesota. In his free time, Dr. Curran enjoys spending time with his wife and their two dogs. He looks forward to serving the community that helped raise him. +

CHASE TAYLOR, DMD, MS

Dr. Taylor is originally from Alabama where he attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham earning a Master of Science in biology and neuroscience and Bachelor of Science in biology, with minors in chemistry and psychology. From Alabama, Dr. Taylor moved to Arizona to attend dental school at A.T. Still University – Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. During dental school, Dr. Taylor found his passion for periodontics and was accepted to the University of Florida’s Periodontics and Implant Dentistry residency. After completing residency, Dr. Taylor worked in private practice specializing in periodontics, implant dentistry and oral plastic surgery. In his spare time, Dr. Taylor enjoys fishing, outdoor adventures, and wine tastings. Above all else, he cherishes spending time with his beautiful family which includes his wife, Jacklyn, and their two children, Madelyn and Graham. Dr. Taylor looks forward to providing care to all patients and investing his time in the community. +

What is complicated oral surgery?

Examples of complicated tooth extraction cases include entangled roots, impacted teeth, very large sinuses and mouth infections. If one of the teeth that need to be pulled is already fractured, it is likely that it will fracture even more while being pulled, requiring the skills of a trained oral surgeon.

Typically, your oral surgeon will ask that you at least take about 48-72 hours to relax afterward so the treatment area is allowed to clot. After that, a patient should be able to return to normal physical activity. The soft tissue will usually fully heal in about 3-4 weeks.
