When will fbi return in 2022

CBS has set the date for the fall shows to premiere. That includes the FBI Season 5 premiere, which is set to arrive in September 2022.

As the summer hits, we end up with less to watch on TV. Our favorite shows take a break, giving the cast and crew well-deserved time off and then time to film the next season. CBS made it clear that all three FBI shows would return in the fall, but at first didn’t offer any return dates.

We were able to make a few guesses. Now we have the return dates. Get ready for a fun and intense end to September.

FBI Season 5 premiere date on CBS

CBS has confirmed the return date for all fall shows. The network is kicking things off on Monday, Sept. 19, which is when FOX is also kicking things off. It looks like the fall is starting a week earlier than we initially anticipated, which makes sense since the fall equinox is on Sept. 21.

FBI Season 5 will premiere on Tuesday, Sept. 20. This will be followed by the FBI International and the FBI Most Wanted premiere dates. We are getting a normal FBI Tuesday this season, and hopefully, ther won’t be the on-off scheduling we’ve had to deal with over the last couple of years.

What isn’t clear yet is how the Season 4 finale is going to be handled. The episode was pulled from the air in the wake of the Texas elementary school shooting. That led to questions about whether it would be delayed or just pulled completely. There’s been no word on it since, so it is possible that some of the storylines for the individual characters will be worked into the FBI Season 5 finale and the episode itself isn’t going to happen anymore.

FBI Season 4 has gone on its winter break. How long is this break going to be? When will the series return with new episodes in 2022?

Like so many other shows, FBI is now officially into its winter break. This is normal for broadcast shows. The live ratings take a dip this time of year. Rather than risk the expensive scripted shows, the networks opt for holiday programming.

Some networks take longer off than others. That’s especially the case this year with the pandemic causing some problems for filming. So, it’s important to know when we can expect the return of the show.

FBI returns with new episodes in January 2022

There isn’t too long to wait for the return of the team. Season 4, Episode 10 will air on Tuesday, Jan. 4. The show will remain in the 8/7c timeslot, starting off a night of shows from the same franchise.

The episode will see the team look into a string of jewelry robberies. They all build up to a double murder, and there is some sort of connection to a 16-year-old stuck in the foster care system.

It’s not clear which of the characters will become the main focus for this episode. It’s been a while since we’ve had a focus on Maggie and Tiffany. We could even see a focus on Castille, who doesn’t always get a lot of development outside of being the boss.

The promo isn’t available just yet. That’s not surprising. When the shows go on a break, CBS usually doesn’t release the promo until a week before the new episode will air.

The good news is we will get some reruns of the series throughout the two Tuesdays that it’s not airing new. We’re just waiting for new episodes to return in the new year.
