Let’s take a look.

Chime SpotMe is an optional feature that allows Chime members to use their debit cards even if they have insufficient funds in their accounts without being charged any overdraft fees. To be eligible for this service, you must be a chime member in good standing with a direct deposit set up and linked to your account. You also need to have made at least $500 in direct deposits within the last 30 days prior to the date of the transaction you are attempting to make with your debit card.

If you meet these requirements and find yourself in a situation where you need to use your debit card but don’t have enough money in your account, simply select “Chime SpotMe” as your payment method when prompted at checkout. Keep in mind that this service is only available for one-time transactions; if you attempt to make multiple transactions that would put you over your account balance, only the first one will go through without being charged an overdraft fee.
