Toyota solid front axle for sale craigslist

Not mine, not affiliated...figured I'd post it up, since this particular year/drivetrain is highly sought after. Considering it being in Central Texas, should be rust free.

"85 toyota 4runner with a solid front axle. 22 re fuel injection motor. Standard 5 speed manual transmission. We bought it in august. We added a few mods. New clutch. All new fluids axle transmission, motor,antifreeze. 4 brand new shocks. Exhaust manifold gasket. This is a good off road vehicle but can be used as an everyday vehicle as well. We will be sad to see it go but have fallen on hard times.

A little odd, they've only had it 4 months...could have to do with a problem getting it inspected & registered.

They’re called Kei trucks, and there’s a place in Washington that has 5 acres of them for sale. Newer ones are for off-road use only, 25 yrs or older can generally be registered. They’re all fairly inexpensive. https://www.nwminitrucks.com/

Solid front axle as well, eh? That'd be a pretty cool little rig with some good AT tires and a lift. I'd hit it.

Is it just me, or is there an excessive amount of grease around those knuckles though?

Knuckles look ok. I like the intercooler sitting on top of the engine. Is it a 4 cyl, or less?

Selling this for my father in law. Just got the ECU repaired with lifetime warranty and the truck runs great. Magnum v8 5.9L. Putting new tires on it today. I am very flexible on price especially if someone on this forum knows of anyone who needs some cheap wheels. This one is full time 4WD with locking diff low range etc so it will go in the snow. Everything works inside.

Edit: just found out it actually is the 5.9L V8! It's fast too!

I texted this guy and it sounds like he mostly has post-2000-era part, so for 100 series (presumably)

Looks like a decent deal, though it's been used for plowing.

Now I see why its funny looking. Rims were a dead giveaway > no one replaces the 100 18s with those style tundra ones.
