We had booked elsewhere and was disappointed an we took a ride to this Hilton historic Bayfront and went in at 9:30 pm and met this lovely, courteous, very helpful front desk evening member, Margo, and explained our disappointment at the current place we were booked and we asked if there was a room available. She looked and found one but that it wouldn't be ready till the next day check in time. She went out of her way to help us with our Hilton membership when we called the 800 number to see how we can apply our membership points toward this room she found. She gave us a great rate versus the rate we got over the phone with the 800 number. Initially, she help us easing our mind in that we were able to stay at this beautiful hotel on the beautiful historic district, distance to all the amenities. We would go back and recommend anyone to wish a peaceful and pleasurable stay at this location in beautiful St. Augustine historic district Hilton hotel. Good location, just off the highway, there are plenty of parking spaces around McDonald's and other restaurants, a 5-minute drive and a Chinese restaurant called Greatwall, very good, cost-effective, the hotel is about 12 minutes drive from the ancient city. The environment and sanitation are both medium and fine, with children can stay. The breakfast is also good, the place is not big, the standard American breakfast, you can make your own waffles, delicious, and the experience is excellent.

I checked in at about 4:45 am after leaving the Quality Inn at exit 311 on State Road 207. Please see the review I left of that hotel. Roach infested!!! I left the Quality Inn and went down to exit 318 and checked into the Smart Stay Inn and Suites. Being a little gun-shy from the Quality Inn, I asked the front desk manager (Kavelle) if I could see one of the rooms prior to checking in. He was happy to show me one and I was quite impressed. I spent 3 nights. Each and every member of the staff that I came in contact with (especially the desk managers Kavelle and Ryan) were extremely pleasant and helpful. This is a fantastic hotel that is quiet, clean, and very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this area.

We drive over to St. Augustine at least a couple times a year and always stay here. We’ve stayed here for the last few years and never even consider anywhere else. The location can’t be beat and the rooms are so nice. All the staff we’ve dealt with have been fantastic as well. The inn provides a parking pass for the garage across the street, and with the inn’s location you might not even need your vehicle for the majority of your visit.

The hotel was comfortable and the area felt quite safe. It was quiet and the beds were good. Good hot water and nice pressure. The lighting around the beds was very convenient, and included charging ports. We were surprised to receive fresh towels on the 2nd day of our 3 day stay. Housekeeping and front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was nice and clean, and refreshing. Denny's is next door, and Village Inn is just a couple blocks, for the times we wanted to eat before or after we went downtown. Did wish it was a little closer to the main part of the historic area. When it was hot and humid, we didn't walk and arrive all sweaty to start with. Instead we called Ubers for $5-8, and walked back.

I have stayed at this Hotel 4 times before, all before the Covid-19 pandemic. My most recent stay, my girlfriend and I stayed for three nights on July 7th thru 9th 2022. We were in St Augustine for a concert at the Amphitheater. Most every staff member we encountered were very friendly, and seemed to really care about us as guests. We are usually up late, so usually don't get up in time to have breakfast. I would rather see breakfast extended from 9 until 10, or possibly 11. I'm sure many people may be out or up late, and don't want to get up early just to make it before breakfast is closed down. Our room was very clean. I was unable to get their wi-fi to work, A nice gentleman did come to my room and try to get it working, but could not. After that. a very caring lady at the front desk was willing to come to my room, or have me bring my laptop down to the desk and assist me, but I never found a convenient time to do that. I feel the room was reasonable priced. The location is great for anyone traveling on I-95 and wanting to stop for the night. But it is about 6 or 7 miles to Historic Downtown St. Augustine. I will say that parking was nearly at capacity. Two of three nights, we were out after midnight, and were lucky to find one spot each night. I would recommend this Hotel if you don't mind driving a few miles to get into St. Augustine.

Cheyenne at the front desk was awesome took care of all our needs. The people who gave out the food in the breakfast line I give a heads up on the black heavy set man who was friendly and professional. Not so much for the girl older girl in cutoff shorts who help him. Room was so clean and the pool awesome. Friendly housekeeping staff made us feel good. We stayed in room 131 and the only problem was the door to the bathroom could not close. Staff went out of their was to drive us anywhere we needed. I loved this place and would never look for any other place. Location is perfect right next trolley for tours and they pick you up at the hotel.

Local friends told us that this hotel has been in existence for decades and was originally a motel. The hotel is on the outlying island, across the water from the main city, and the highway bridge connecting the peninsula is next to the hotel, with convenient transportation, but the hotel is still very quiet. There are not many rooms in the hotel, but they are spacious and bright, the beds are good and the breakfast is great!

The Ponce is an older hotel with plenty of charm and character, which was what I was looking for. It has been maintained and updated beautifully. The staff was very welcoming and accomodating. The room was quiet, clean, and comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable. Amenities included pool, microwave, refrigerator, coffee maker, blow dryer, iron, ironing board, writing desk with chair, huge HD TV, and free WIFI. A guest laundry room is available. The Ponce is a 15 minute walk or short drive to the St. Augustine old historic site. Shopping, restaurants, and a salon and spa are also minutes away. The Ponce is on the water, and although the restaurant does not face the water, the view is beautiful. The hotel restaurant, the DeLeon, is a Colombian restaurant. The food was delicious and authentic! I can't wait to eat there again. I give the Ponce Hotel a rating of A+++++. I also must mention that I left a pair of diamond earrings in my room, and within an hour of checking out, Negar, the hotel desk receptionist, called me to let me know, and my earrings are being mailed to me. This honesty and going the extra mile is seldom seen today, and I was extremely impressed and grateful. Again,I rate them very highly and plan to return on my next visit.

This worked out ok for us as we used IHG points and all of the hotels in the area were very expensive. The breakfast was nice and about usual for IHG. There was generally no attendant around and the pancake machine was out for our 2 night visit. The fitness room was let go and needed work and maintenance. Several machines had out of order signs and the fitness balls were partially deflated. The room seemed clean but there was no bar soap for the sink. The pullout couch did not have linens and was very uncomfortable. The staff were friendly. The main bed was comfortable. There is no electric car charging if that is a concern. Wawa and Walmart nearby offer that. There was some road and car noise at times. It was also pretty easy to hear the people above and adjacent. I would recommend the top floor. It seemed like the people around us were on a similar schedule so it worked out ok. It was about a 10 minute drive to the historic district. We found some of the previous guests clothes in the dresser. The hotel could use an update but it was ok for our needs under the circumstances.

From calling the front desk and speaking with Laura, I was properly informed on everything I needed to know from check in to check out. The other staff members when checking in were very kind and ALL had a smile on their faces! I have NEVER been to a hotel where you immediately felt like family! This group of women certainly went above and beyond any place I have ever stayed to make me feel welcome. I would NOT hesitate to stay at this hotel short term or long term. What a great environment and fun place to stay. Please don’t check in somewhere else… check in here! You won’t regret it. Thanks Samatha for all you did too! I am one happy camper!

To whom it may concern. My wife and I visited St. Augustine from May 23-28. We were checked in by Kareen. When we first checked in, she was somewhat pleasant; however, that changed after we got to our room # 209 and my wife and I realized that we were not given the room we had looked at and had originally booked on line.(which was immediately upon entering the room). Originally, we had booked the King Suite with the separate bedroom. When we called down to the desk (immediately) and told Kareen that we had been given the wrong room, she argued with my wife telling her that we had received the room that we had booked on line. I went down with my computer and showed her what we booked on line. Kareen continued to argue with me. Both my wife and I stated all we wanted was the room that we booked with the separate bedroom. At this point. I returned to the room and called Choice customer service and the gentleman I spoke to looked up our reservation and confirmed that we had indeed booked the room with the separate King bedroom. He then proceeded to call Kareen at the front desk. The gentleman stated that Kareen would move us as long as the room was not messy or dirty. I told him that all we had done was use the phone and sat at desk and hard stool. The gentleman told Kareen this. The housekeeper reported to Kareen that the room was indeed clean. Before I got off the phone with Choice customer service, he told me that everything was taken care of and that we would be moved to the proper room, number 211. The room phone rang and Kareen told my wife to come down then hung up. We assumed it was to get the new room key. We moved our luggage to hall and my wife took the room keys to the desk. Kareen at this point still continued to bring up the point 5 more time that we got the room that we had booked, which was not correct. My wife told her at this point that we had enough, told her to reverse the charges and that we would find other accommodations. My wife then came back upstairs as I thought this had been taken care of as I waited with our luggage in the hallway. She did not give my wife the new room keys but had in her possession the old keys. My wife was becoming upset and told her if she would not give us the new keys, she could cancel the reservation and we would go to the competition across the street. Kareen continued to argue that we booked the wrong room. My wife told her she was done and return to me waiting upstairs in the hallway. At this point, I came down with my wife and told Kareen that if she did not want to put us in the proper room, to reverse the charges and that we would leave, She continued to argue with my wife and I, then she finally produced new room keys for room # 211 and then had the nerve to tell me that all we had to do was to tell her that we wanted to be moved in the first place. She also said my wife was rude walking away from her while she was just explaining things. We have never been treated like this an
