This maze is part of : Maze - BUNDLE Find the SLOPE

This product is a good review of "Finding the SLOPE of the Parallel line and Perpendicular line of a given equation in SLOPE-INTERCEPT form".

This activity focuses only and only on the slope-intercept form of a line.

There are 2 mazes included in this product:

Maze 1: Find the slope of the parallel line

Maze 2: Find the slope of the perpendicular line

The slopes of this maze are:

☑ Integers (including "0")

☑ Fractions

☑ "undefined"

The questions of this maze have equations that are:

☑ Written in Slope-Intercept Form

☑ Written as y = b (representing a horizontal line)

☑ Written as x = a (representing a vertical line)

☑ Written with a negative slope (Rising Line)

☑ Written with a positive slope (Falling Line)

In each maze, there are 15 equations provided. From start to end, the student will be able to answer 11 questions out of the 15 provided to get to the end of the maze.

This maze could be used as: a way to check for understanding, a review, recap of the lesson, pair-share, cooperative learning, exit ticket, entrance ticket, homework, individual practice, when you have time left at the end of a period, beginning of the period (as a warm up or bell work), before a quiz on the topic, and more.

This maze focuses on calculating the slope of the parallel line (the other one focuses on finding the slope of the perpendicular line) from the given equation. The given equation is always written in slope-intercept form. Students should be able to recognize the slope of the parallel (or perpendicular) line efficiently. Each of the mazes should be completed very quickly as the purpose is to stress the parallel and perpendicular slopes. There will be rational slopes (including "0" and fractions) as well as undefined slopes.
