S21 ultra vs iphone 12 pro max reddit

Hello, I'm planning to upgrade from my regular 12 to a 12 pro max and I'm a bit curious about the size and feel in the hand.

The largest phone I've held in my hand was the s21 ultra so for anyone that had the same experience of holding both the s21 ultra and 12 pro max I'm looking forward to hear your thoughts and insights to help me finalize my decision. Thank you guys!

I am 1.86 m high and have pretty big hands. Never got used to big phones. I have an iPhone 12 mini and I feel SO relaxed now. It meets my needs and works like a charm.

The s21ultra is a much more convenient phone to hold and use. It’s lighter and taller, which makes for a good in hand feel. 12pm on the other hand is heavy and wide on the palm, feels more premium but is a pain to use one handed imo.

Thank you for this advise. But which are you using as of the moment?

It all depends on how tall you are, along with how big your hands are. I stand 1.89m, have huge hands and the 12 Pro Max feels perfect in the hand, the grip with the squared off edges makes it feel super secure. Though it's kinda hard to swipe right from menus but overall there's nothing bothersome with the experience. However, the S21 Ultra feels much more effortless to grip imo. Personal preference landed me with the 12 Pro Max as it has better cameras and overall stability + battery life, and I've gotten bored of Android.

I am an average sized woman (5’6”) with average size (s/m) hands, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max is not too big. You can go into a store and feel one for yourself. I like the bigger screen because I do a lot of reading on my phone. And it still fits in my purse or pocket.

S21 is more comfortable for one handed use. It's taller and slimmer. I also find the square edges extremely uncomfortable but others say they prefer them so that's gonna depend on the person I guess. The 12 is better for two handed use because its wideness is better for typing with two hands. The 12 feels heavier. I dunno what it is about the 12 series but they feel at heavier than they actually are. I think it's just they way they're balanced.

I already made the switch guys thank you for your insights 😊

I know this is a pc subreddit but I thought maybe it Branches out to tech as well. I currently have a s20 which is okay and all but It doesn't have mmwave 5g and I'm switching to Verizon since they will have mmwave in my city soon.

I had an iPhone for many years and switched to android early last year. The s21 has more Ram than the iPhone does but Apple's A14 chip is more powerful than Qualcomm's 888 chip, both have reached the 5nm mark. The iPhone 12 pro max has a kick ass lidar camera but its a triple camera setup and the s21 has a quadruple camera setup.

I genuinely can't decide which phone would be better.

As far as software goes, Apple pushes out a new version of iOS for phones that are like 5 years old but Samsung only supports software updates for 2 years before they stop updating it.

I had an iPhone 5, then a Samsung S7 (Snapdragon). Loved both. It time to upgrade. Was hoping to get some input from others.

Wife and kids have iPhones and Mac PCs. I have Samsung Tablet Galaxy S3 and S7 for phone. Both still in excellent condition, except starting to slow down too much for comfort. I usually do a factory wipe of both Samsungs about every 6 months and rebuilt from scratch (not from a backup). But that's not speeding them up any more.

I have an opportunity to get (until end of this month) either the Samsung S21 Ultra 5G or the iPhone 12 Pro Max.

Any words of wisdom?

Update: Country is United States.

I’ve swapped back and forth between samsung and apple this year. I went from the 11 pro max to the note 20 ultra back to the 12 pro max and finally the s21 (it’ll be here on monday im super excited). I did believe the whole “iphone cameras are just better” but after watching a bunch of hands on videos and reviews i think it’s the best choice plus the cameras look amazing. I will say the social media apps i use are more customized to apple so that will be a little strange to get use to but that’s fine. Any tips or tricks for a new s21 user? Also what are your guys thoughts when comparing the 12 pro max and s21 ultra?
