How much is a membership over there? What's the membership like? Young /old? Some good games?
Any other insight?

I’m not a member but I play there fairly regularly with members. The Links is always in good to great shape. The Lakes is fine for when you can’t get on the Links.
A golf club is more than just the course in my opinion. PP has a great practice facility. It has a nice bar inside, and the patio area is nice too. The bar staff is attentive and cordial which you don’t always get at a golf club. The cart girl comes around every 3-4 holes too. Lastly, I found the starter keeps things moving on #1, and marshals are out and about keeping an eye on things.

This is 100% correct.

There is a big "noon" game out there that basically controls the tee times. If u get in front of them and slow them down.... they will let u know about it real quick. Most of them are carry-overs from the old Gonzales Country Club. But course is in good condition right now.
I think membership is 240$ a
month. They do offer other types of memberships.

I've had the anniversary membership a the Lakes for a couple years and I re-upped last year. Originally, it was $200 for a 2 year membership and you could walk for free or ride for $25. New one was $200, which goes through December 2022, and I walk for $15/round or ride for $25/round. I've never ridden.
Course is always in good shape and drains well. I haven't played the Links in a year because it's not walker friendly (not sure they even allow it).
I'm perfectly content with my Lakes membership because I don't feel like I can't go play elsewhere.

Let em play through. I can’t for the life of me understand why slower groups just don’t let faster ones through. If I’m ever playing with a group that has some beginner slower golfers I always make sure we let faster groups through. It’s takes all of 3 minutes usually.

I have the “get ready course” or lake course membership- I think it’s like $200 for 2 years and $20 per round. I might have the per round amount incorrect.
I used to have the links membership for about $300/month and
canceled it after about a year or so because I felt I had to play golf X number of times each month to justify the monthly cost.

I’m with you. We were walking for “free” until they changed it. I wish they would’ve never closed the front 9 part of that course.

No kidding. I enjoy the 9 holes, but I do miss the old front 9. We try to mix up the tees we play on the second go around just to make for different shots into the greens, but I would prefer 9 completely different holes. There were some good ones on that old front 9, particularly #6 (that par 3 over water) and #7 (par 4 that your second shot was over water).

Agreed. Number 8? Par 3 gave us fits for some reason.

I always seemed to play that one well. It was somehow a little bit downhill and not terribly long.
The first hole was fun, because you could drive the green or get really close if you hit it well, but you never knew until you rounded the corner.
Number 2 always seemed to play longer than the yardage.
Number 3 always gave me fits. It seems like I'd always hit those trees on the right and then be totally blocked from going at the green.
Number 4 was a dogleg left par 5, but there were no real hazards to make it interesing.
Number 5 was a short par 4 that you could drive the green or get close to. I birdied that hole a ton.
I never scored as well on 9 as I though I should. A good drive left you with a shot at hitting it in two, but I ended up in the front righ bunker a lot. That green is still there and kept up. I assume they keep it up in case they need to transplant any grass to a green on the course.

What is the rate to play the links with this membership?

I want to say it's normal rates, until 3:00, then discounted. But I haven't played the Links since last January, so I could be wrong.

Can someone inform me of the difference between The Lakes and The Links? I’ve never played at PP and didn’t realize they had two courses. I’m guessing The Links is a full 18 hole course and the Lakes are 9 holes?

Yep, Links is 18 hole par 72. Lakes is a 9 hole par 35 (3 par 3s). Links is carts only, as there are some long stretches between several greens and the next tee box. Lakes is very walkable, aside from the hike to the first tee from the clubhouse.

This is correct. After 3pm, it's the same deal as lakes course. You pay only the cart fee ($25). But I'm pretty sure this deal is no longer available.

U would have to know the noon group to understand that situation. They play fast on purpose.

Noon group usually won’t play through. Just push you. The worst golfers are in the first groups.. they do play super fast but it doesn’t really matter. The better guys behind them play fast too and don’t kick it around as much.
To answer OP, you can get all of the game you’re looking for out there.
