You don't put them into your deck as you do with normal cards, but the venture mechanic works just like it would in another format. As long as cards with “venture into the dungeon” are legal in Commander, dungeon cards will also be legal by proxy.
Is planar portal a good deck?Usually, preconstructed decks can be a little lacking when it comes to card advantage, but Planar Portal is chock-full of grind power. It can be a little slow to close out the game, but it's not much of a downside when the deck is so well equipped to play the long game.
