Is Extended Edition worth it Lord of the Rings?

While Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy is widely regarded as a well-made adaptation of Tolkien's work, the extended editions earned even more praise. These editions offer at least an hour of additional material for each film, and they do not disappoint.

How many extended editions of LOTR are there?

Peter Jackson's award-winning "The Lord of the Rings Trilogy" now includes all three films as Extended Editions: The Fellowship of the Ring Extended Edition, The Two Towers Extended Edition, and The Return of the King Extended Edition.

Why are the Lord of the Rings extended editions so long?

Perhaps the biggest reason why there's so much extra content in the extended editions is that each film was already around three hours long - and that's without the deleted material. Here's what was added in the Lord of the Rings extended editions.

What does the Lord of the Rings Extended Edition include?

The following scenes have all been extended: The Finding of the Ring; The Road to Isengard; Return to Edoras; Minas Tirith; The Paths of the Dead; The Siege of Gondor; The Tomb of the Stewards; The Pyre of Denethor; The Battle of the Pelennor Fields; The Last Debate; Mount Doom.
