Evinrude Johnson Ultra 4-stroke outboard synthetic blend oil. 5W-40.
What kind of oil does a Johnson outboard motor take?
XD50™ SYNTHETIC BLEND 2-STROKE OUTBOARD OIL
Use XD50 for reduced smoke, reduced maintenance and increased reliability in any Evinrude and Johnson outboard. XD50 is suitable for any direct injection, oil injection or pre-mixed outboard that specifies a TC-W3 oil.
Can you use regular oil in 4
Although oil in a four-stroke marine engine performs the same function as it does in an automobile engine, passenger car motor oil should not be used in marine engines.
How much oil does a Johnson outboard take?
50:1 - Mix 100ml of oil per 5ltrs of fuel.
Recommended by Mercury, Mariner, Tohatsu, Johnson and Evinrude this is my preferred ratio for all outboards including Yamaha and Suzuki. You can confidently use this ratio for any horse power and just about all year models.
