It's not only the best Lego game I've played, but possibly the best Star Wars title too. It more than lives up to TT Games' promise of delivering the ultimate Star Wars experience. If you've played any of the studio's other Lego games, the basic formula won't be surprising.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is arguably one of the best Star Wars video games ever made. It is also, almost inarguably, the most Star Wars game ever made. Some Star Wars games have offered more complex mechanics or longer playtimes; some, like MMORPGs Galaxies and The Old Republic, never needed to end.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a nostalgic adventure, riffing not just on the movies that inspired it, but the Lego Star Wars series itself. The game wavers between cinematic accuracy — with levels pulled right out of the movies — and fun twists on more minor Star Wars set pieces.

There really is no shortage of activities to keep players engaged outside of the story and Traveller's Tales have done an excellent job at ensuring these are fun, diverse and replayable, both alone or co-operatively. A staple of the LEGO titles has been its comedy and The Skywalker Saga is no exception.
