How to view an instagram profile without an account

To view Instagram without an account is a little tricky but not impossible. You won’t be able to browse Instagram home feed, but you can see other users’ profiles, as long as they are public.

There are two ways to view Instagram content without an Instagram Account.

View Instagram content via Instagram browser without login

Normally, Instagram doesn’t allow viewing posts without logging in.

But there is a little trick you can use to go around Instagram’s gated wall.

To access Instagram without login in you just have to type the Instagram website URL in your browser followed by the account's username.

Example: “www.instagram.com/brand.mentions”

This implies that you already know the username whose profile you want to view.

There you go, you can now see their Instagram profile.

Of course, this is only applicable to public profiles.

View Instagram content via a third-party Instagram software

Using an Instagram viewer is a great way to have access to Instagram profiles, without leaving any trace.

An Instagram viewer allows you to browse users’ profiles and even look at Instagram stories anonymously. The only requirement is that they are not private profiles but public Instagram accounts.

Here is what you can see on someone’s Instagram page:

• Profile name, profile picture, bio description, and links

• Total of followers, and following

• Posts and stories

• Posts comments

Some Instagram profile viewers are even capable of downloading Instagram stories and highlights, viewing tagged posts, and even checking out related profiles.

Instead of visiting the Instagram home page, you can go to an Instagram user profile page. If you don’t know the URL of a specific user profile, you can search for it on Google. In this way, you can directly visit someone’s profile without an account. 

After scrolling through some Instagram posts or stories, Instagram will pop up a  login reminder asking you to log in or create an account, and you can no longer scroll to view more content. Luckily, you can Install this Tampermonkey script to block this Instagram login popup.

If you have never heard of Tampermonkey scripts, you can check this post to learn how to use them. Basically, Tampermonkey is a web browser extension available for Chrome, Edge, and Firefox that allows you to run custom scripts. 

That is to say, you need to first install this extension on your browser and add the Remove Instagram Login Reminder Popup script. 

However, you might still get redirected to the login page if you use a VPN or your IP has been blocked by Instagram. In that case, you should turn off the VPN, try a different connection, or you can try to refresh your IP from the modem/router’s settings.

Alternatively, you can also use a third-party service to search and view Instagram profiles, posts, and stories without logging in.  

View Public Instagram Profiles without Account

Actually, a few online Instagram viewers allow you to view any Instagram public content without an account anonymously. ImgInn is the one that I recommend the most. Imginn allows you to search Instagram without an account for profiles and stories. In addition, you can use Imginn to download Instagram stories, posts, and HD profile pictures. 

Imginn is entirely free to use and you can refer to the steps below to see how it works. 

Step 1. Launch your Web browser on your PC, Mac, iPhone, or Android device. Then visit the ImgInn website. 

Step 2. On the ImgInn home page, you can Input the Instagram profile name in the search box to start searching the profile. If you want to view someone’s story instead, you can also click the Story icon above the search box. 

Step 3. Then ImgInn will bring you all the Instagram profiles related to the search query that you imputed. You can just click on the Profile to view all of his or her posts and stories.  

As you can see from the screenshot, it is similar to the original Instagram profile page. All the posts are available to view. ImgInn also provides a Download All button that allows you to download all Instagram photos and videos in one go. You need to scroll down enough to load all the posts that you want to download. 

From here, you can also click on Stories to view all the stories by this Instagram user if there is one. If you use Firefox, you can get the Instaview add-on which will automatically redirect all Instagram links to use Imginn for viewing Instagram content without registering an account.

View Instagram Stories without Account on iOS

I personally prefer using my iPhone to view Instagram, so I have created this shortcut for viewing any public Instagram story without an account. In case you don’t know, Shortcuts is a free app for automation provided by Apple. Since iOS 13, Apple has made it a stock app.

If your device is running iOS 13 or a later version, you can simply get this Instagram Story Viewer shortcut (also working for iOS 15) by opening the link in Safari. Then you can tap to run this shortcut. You will be asked to input the Instagram profile link or username to view the available story. It will automatically get your clipboard as the input.

In a few seconds, it will present you with the Instagram story image or video. This way, you can view Instagram stories anonymously. You can tap the Share button in the top right corner to save it to your Camera Roll or Files app.

I recently updated this shortcut on my Mac in 2022, so you can also run it on macOS Monterey. If needed, I can also update this shortcut to be able to view Instagram posts without an account.

Can You View Private Instagram without an Account?

After some research, I’ve found some online Instagram private viewer that claims to view private Instagram posts without following. Moreover, I also see some people use the Instagram ++ app for iPhone or Android to do the same. 

I have tried all the possible methods I can find to no valid. I have downloaded several Instagram ++ IPA files and install IPA on my iPhone with Sideloadly. I end up with countless surveys and tasks before I can view any private Instagram content.
