How to take a screenshot on microsoft teams

Recording abilities can also be restricted by setting presenters to only those who need to present or are the organizer e.g. faculty member only and students will then default to attendee. Attendees don’t have the ability to initiate a recording within Teams.

Also, this effects the default ownership permissions in Stream. We’ve had this issue with students initiating a recording weather by accident or helpfulness but then the recording is owned by the student and the professor can only view and not download/edit. We’ve had to advertise the Meeting Options ability quite a bit because of this.

Is this ever going to change?

It's painful for the people from tech support not able to capture screens when troubleshooting. I come across few users already at Citrix complaining about this.

unlikely (although theoretically possible) - this is the nature of optimization / redirection. The window with the video/screenshare is not running on the VDA anymore.

This overlay window is instantiated by the client Workspace app, hence it runs on the endpoint itself.

You can't expect to be able to capture client-side screenshots from the VDA.

Sometimes a picture of what you see on your computer or mobile screen helps best express what’s going on. Capturing a “screen shot” and attaching it to your support inquiry is really easy and it’s an approach that can put you in the fast lane and get your technical issue quickly addressed.

  • Press and hold your Shift key,

On a Zoom or Teams meeting with a colleague who won’t stop moving those damn slides along on their shared screen? Whether you’re not able to keep up in the moment or a whole plethora of other reasons you might want to know how to take a screenshot on Windows, we’ve got you covered.

Taking a screenshot on Windows seems like it’s been around since like forever. However, not everyone might have had a good reason to use it.

Thankfully, if you are a beginner, Windows makes it easy – it some cases it’s basically just the press of one button. Windows also offer more complex solutions for more specific needs, and all are super useful.

A slightly different tool to screenshotting that Windows offers is “Snipping Tool”. This allows you to use a resizable box to take a capture of some of your screen – a handy piece of software for taking a capture of a specific portion of the screen. We will be focusing on the more traditional method of screenshotting (via the Print Screen key).
