A Cash App account may act as another bank account as long as you link it to the original one.

To set up the direct deposit, you must find your Cash App account’s account and routing numbers.

That will be an easy step if you already ordered your Cash Card connected to your Cash App account.

However, if you don’t have one, a list of steps is prepared below for you to follow.

How to Find Your Cash App Account and Routing Numbers

  • Open the Cash App on your device, whether Android or iOS.
  • You should see a dollar sign on the screen. Tap it to enter the “My Cash” interface.
  • A “Cash” button should be present on the screen with a dollar sign next to it. Tap that button.
  • And then, tap the “Get Account Number” button in the “Direct Deposit” section.
  • After that, there will be a pop-up screen, and then press the “Enable Account” button.
  • The “Copy Account Details” button should appear. You can find the button under the account information. Then tap it.
  • Then “Copy Account Number” and “Copy Routing Number” will appear. Clicking those buttons will allow you to copy the information to your clipboard.
  • Add the Account and Routing Numbers to your Venmo.

  • On the Venmo app’s Home Page, you will find at the top part a button consisting of three horizontal lines; you must click it.
  • The button will allow the Settings to pop up. In that section, tap the “Payment Methods.” Then, press the “Add a Bank or Card” button, and then select “Bank.”
  • After that, you will need to verify yourself through the given verification methods.
  • If you have your Cash Card with you, you can easily set up the direct deposit much easier. If you want this route better than the one mentioned above, there here is the step-by-step guide:
  • On the Venmo app’s Home Page, you will find at the top part a button consisting of three horizontal lines; you must click it.
  • The button will allow the Settings to pop up. In that section, tap the “Payment Methods.” Then, press the “Add a Bank or Card” button, and then select “Bank.”
  • Now, all you have to do is enter the information written on your Cash Card, or you can also scan those with your camera.

Transferring your Money between Venmo and Cash App

Since you now linked your Cash App with your Venmo, you can directly deposit your money from your cash-app account balance.

Linking your Venmo and Cash App to a single bank will be more efficient since both will be able to access the balance of your account.

That means that you will be able to transfer money from Venmo to Cash App, and vice versa.

Transfer the Balance of your Venmo to your Bank Account

1. Add the bank account that you want to link with your Cash App mutually.

3. Transfer the balance to your bank account. To do that, follow the steps below:

  • On the Venmo app’s Home Page, you will find at the top part a button consisting of three horizontal lines; you must click it.
  • And then press the “Transfer Money” button or the “Transfer to Bank” one.

Enter how much balance you desire to transfer. And then choose whether you want it “Instant,” which applies a small fee, or the ‘1-3 Business Days” that does not charge you anything.

Choose whether the transaction will be through your bank account or debit card.

Make sure to review and then confirm.

Once you’ve done a thorough review and are sure about the transaction, tap the “Transfer” button to implement the actions.

After that process, you then need to switch to your Cash App.

Add the Transferred Balance to your Cash App

If the process successfully transferred the money to your bank account, you will need to switch over to your Cash App and add the desired balance.

To do that, follow the instruction written below:

On the home interface of the Cash App, tap the Balance Tab. And then select Add Cash.

Enter the desired amount that you want to add to your balance, and then tap the “Add” button.

To verify and confirm your actions, use the Touch ID feature or your Pin.

Ensure you linked your Cash App and Venmo to a mutual bank, or the transfer of balance will not work.

What’s the Maximum Amount that You can Transfer?

Typically, an unverified account only allows up to $299.99 amount of the transfer.

However, that amount will increase to a $2,999.99 transaction amount per week once you have verified your identity. To do that, follow these simple steps:

Press the “Three Layers of Horizontal Lines” at the top of the interface. Then tap the “Settings,” and then press the “Identity Verification.”

Verification requires you to submit the following information:

  • Full name
  • Address
  • Social Security Number
  • Zip Code
  • Birthdate

Does Venmo charge you for the transactions?

Just like other payment applications, Venmo applies charges with each service you use.

For example, depositing your credit card’s balance will have Venmo charge 3% of the amount.

However, for instant transactions, Venmo will charge you 1% or 25 cents from the amount.

Furthermore, Venmo is kind enough to charge you when you buy things online with Venmo payment available, even when using your credit card.
