Inexpensive name brand water filter

There is no cleaning as it it a sealed product. It is easy as 1,2,3. Once out of the package and caps removed all ypu do is remove the old one, click in the new one, run a gallon of water through the new one and you are done!!

Connector doesn't fit.

The filter by itself is alright. It's the connector that wouldn't fit if you don't have the one from the existing filter. I had to pull that out from the old one and replace it with the connector on the new one, else this wouldn't fit. Apart from that, the water flow definitely has improved and the filter works as designed.

Water filters

I have not used them yet but they are the correct filters for my refrigerator and they are brand new. The packing was a simple cardboard mailer which was ripped on both ends and crushed. Padded would have been better but no harm so no foul.

These are a top brand and designed to be a perfect fit. This specific filter is not one that removes a long list of contaminants but it does remove the two things that are a concern in our water.

It works.

This was my first time changing the water filter in my new fridge. The filter works fine. You have to push in a little harder than what I expected to get the old one out. The darker water you see after you first install is some of the loose carbon. Supposed to be harmless or maybe even beneficial in some ways.
