Vendor needs to possibly change delivery system. My items from this vendor although always above described condition is very slow getting to my location. But other than that vendor product is always priced right and in above stated condition.

I love all the songs on this CD of spirituals by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, and was especially happy to find it available here on Amazon. If you want music that will draw you closer to the Lord, this CD will do exactly that.

I cut my vocal teeth on southern gospel music, so I really love it. Some of the arrangements and performances on this album are delightful, particularly His Voice as the Sound and Death Shall Not Destroy My Comfort. But many of the arrangements and performances turned great gospel songs--which gather a lot of strength from their looser, more dynamic style--into overwrought, overly formal pieces that lost all the heart and soul that made them great in the first place. Which made me sad after the delight I got from the better pieces.

Love, love, love this CD. My favorite ever Mormon Tabernacle CD - and that's saying something for me. I ordered this because our church choir was singing the Come Thou Fount song that's on this CD - one of the most spectacularly beautiful arrangements I've ever heard. The CD happened to arrive at a time when my mother was struggling with a fatal disease. All these songs are about heaven. I cannot express what a comfort they were to me during this difficult, difficult time. I like to think they were a comfort to my mother as well. I was playing the CD as she died. The song that was playing as she took her last breath was about coming to the throne of God and I can't help believe that was exactly what was happening to her. I now give this CD to friends who have recently lost a loved one.

I began with just one CD by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. I now have a collection of 10 CD's. All music by
this choir is awesome, beautiful and inspiring. I bought this CD for it's many lovely tunes and for one song
in particular: My Song in the Night. I had seen the video on
You Tube with this music in the background.
I've watched it many times......such inspiring music with a message. I love every CD I have of this choir.
The arrangements, orchestra and mighty pipe organ along with 360 voices......words can't express. Their
performances are "perfection".
Yes, I totally recommend this CD and all others by this wonderful group of people. Their music is what I've
been listening to every day since I discovered that first CD....that one was: Consider the
Lilies. By the
way, THAT CD is my very favorite.

come Thou
This CD is defective the last two songs Come Thou Fount and Amazing Grace do not play and go wacky on my two separate cd players Usually at the beginning of each song all the other songs on the cd play beautifully..... very frustrating... Tom McKay

After reading a review of this CD in our local paper, I ordered it. After hearing it, I've reordered it a number of times for family and friends. It was a real surprise (okay, shock!) to hear TMTC sing what we call "Negro Spirituals" but they do a magnificent job!! The other songs ("Amazing Grace", "Come Thou Fount", "His Voice As The Sound") are just as inspiring and well done as well. The feeling that they give when they sing "Deep River" and "I Want Jesus To Walk With Me" brings tears to your eyes!! BRAVO!! Now if they would just do "THE SONG" of songs, Roland Carter's arrangement of James Weldon Johnson's "Lift Every Voice and Sing" . . . .

One half of the CD was what I expected it to be, with well known hymns; the other half was a filler of nondescript choruses
which were not to my taste. But in fairness to the Tabernacle Choir, I might be too selective , whereas they offered a balanced
selection to meet all tastes. The hymns I liked were a joy to listen
to, so I think I got value for money.
