Chester Fun Run - 8:30am 5k that starts at Collins Pine lawn. Main St will be closed from Chester Airport Rd to Feather River Dr from 7:30am to about 8:30am. The runners start on Main St and run to Feather River Dr. to the Collins Pine back road. Feather River Dr will be partially closed from 8am to 9am. Show
Chester Parade - 11:00 The parade runs down Main St from Collins Pine lawn to Olsen Ave. Main St will be closed from Chester Airport Rd to Melissa from 10:30am till the parade ends. Traffic will be diverted onto Chester Airport Rd to 1st Ave to Gay St to Melissa to Hwy 36. 4th of July Craft Show and Bar-be-que - 10:00am to 3:00pm Chester Park Fireworks - about 9:30pm. Fireworks are shot off at the end of the Peninsula. Viewing spots are the Causeway, Prattville, East Shore, West Shore. REMEMBER: No home fireworks are allowed in Plumas County. GETTING READY — Part of Chester’s Independence Day festivities on July 4 will be the annual Chester Lions Club 4th of July Car Show, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Chester City Park. Taking place July 4, vendors, crafters, food trucks and more will line the city streets throughout the day, opening at 11 a.m. on Fourth Street. The traditional duck race, games and kids activities will make their return, as will the annual Chester Lions Club 4th of July Car Show. The car show will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Chester City Park. Registration is $5 per car or motorcycle, with registration taking place from 10 a.m. to noon. Live music will include Doug Smith and Buddy Snyder from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and the LaBra Brothers from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Davis Brothers Pharmacy Pavilion in Chester City Park.
