The original Breitling Emergency E56321was released in 1995 and intended for use by pilots and aircrews. The Emergency E65321 has a built-in micro-transmitter broadcasting on the 121.5 MHz aircraft emergency frequency and is designed to complement the distress signalling equipment of any aircraft. The Breitling Emergency E56321 features a 43mm titanium case which houses the Breitling calibre 56 quartz movement. The dial of the Emergency is both analogue and digital.

Breitling Emergency E76321

The Breitling Emergency E76321was released in 2002 as a replacement for the Emergency E56321. The design remained the same as the previous version however the E67321 was fitted with the Breitling calibre 76 Superquartz movement. The emergency transmitter of the E76321 is activated (for 48 hours) by unscrewing a protective cap and pulling the antenna out fully. Over flat terrain or calm seas, the transmitter signal has a range of about 160Km (assuming the search aircraft is flying at an altitude of 6000m).

Breitling Emergency Mission A73321

Launched in 2003, the Breitling Emergency Mission A73321 is the second variation on the Emergency. The Emergency Mission has a more traditional appearance with a fully analogue dial. The performances of its transmitter is equivalent to those of a distress beacons carried aboard aircraft. The Emergency Mission has a 45mm stainless steel case and equipped with the Breitling calibre 73 superquartz movement.
