To get dental coverage for you and your family, you can choose from our three dental plans:

Preferred Dental

Our dental plans cover a comprehensive range of dental services including no charge oral exams, cleanings and X-rays. And your acceptance is guaranteed.

Pediatric dental coverage is also included in all CareFirst ACA medical plans through age 19.

Finding a dentist in the Blue Dental PPO network or who has participated through Blue Par Select in the past is easy. Just use our online search.

You’ll need to know what kind of dental plan you have; an individual plan, a plan through your employer or Medicare, or another public plan. The search results will supply:

the name of the dentist or practice
their specialty
if they’re accepting new patients
whether they're wheelchair accessible

The search may also provide their website, address and office hours.

You can filter your results to learn:

whether the dentist offers evening or weekend hours
what languages are spoken by the dentist and staff
what experience they've had with physical or developmental disabilities, and more

Not sure which plan to choose?

HMO plans generally have lower monthly premiums and lower out-of-pocket costs for services compared with PPO plans. However, your choice in dentists is more limited.
PPO plans generally have higher monthly premiums and higher out-of-pocket costs for services compared with HMO plans. However, PPO plans offer a larger selection of dentists to choose from.
The Family Dental PPO plan and Family Dental HMO plan are only available through Covered California. You must be enrolled in a medical plan through Covered California to qualify.

You can even add a vision plan for as little as $6.90 per month to round out your coverage.
