Verizon has quite a few other services bundled with their mobile phone plans, but the one that caught my eye was the free Hulu bundle I could get if I had a 5G plan from them.
I was already on Verizon 5G, so I wanted to find out how I could get the free subscription to the service since I’ve wanted to try out Hulu on my new 4K TV.
To find out more about the bundle, I went to Verizon’s website, where they were promoting it, and was also able to talk to a few people on community forums who were already using it.
I was able to build a comprehensive image of the entire bundle and its terms and conditions so that once you finish reading this article, you’ll know how you can sign up for the free subscription and if it is worth going through the signup process.
Hulu is free with Verizon as a part of the Disney bundle. You’ll need the 5G Get More or 5G Play More plan to get Hulu for free.

Does Verizon Have Hulu For Free?
The free Hulu subscription is part of Verizon’s Disney bundle, which includes Disney+ and ESPN+ along with Hulu.
The tier of Hulu subscription included with the bundle is the ad-supported one, so you’ll have to bear with ads when watching content on Hulu.
You’ll have to access each service separately, so if you want to use all three of the service, you’ll need to have all three apps installed.
While the focus here is on Hulu, the other services are similar regarding terms and conditions regarding eligibility, so if you qualify for one, you qualify for all of them.
You can only have one bundle per account, which means you only have one account for each of the three streaming platforms.
The bundle is free of charge for anyone who meets the eligibility guidelines, which I will discuss in the following sections.
How To Be Eligible For The Free Bundle?
There are two ways to become eligible for the Disney Bundle that has Hulu included for free, which you can find below.
You’ll need to be on Verizon’s 5G Get More, or 5G Play More, or if you are already on Verizon’s Disney+ on us promo, you can upgrade to this bundle by paying $6 a month extra.
If you aren’t on an eligible plan, you can switch to one of the 5G plans above or pay $14 per month for just the bundle and get it as an add-on.
You won’t get the promotion on business and prepaid accounts; it is currently only on Postpaid 5G plans.
You can also get Hulu for free if you already have Disney+ through Verizon; just upgrade to the plan mentioned above to get Hulu.
Signing Up For The Free Bundle
Now that you know most of the ins and outs of the Disney Bundle that Verizon offers, you might want to begin signing up.
To sign up for the free bundle:
- Open a web browser and log in to your Verizon account.
- Go to Account > Apps & add-ons > Apps & add-ons overview. You’ll need to be an account owner or an account manager to add on any service.
- Scroll down to Entertainment and click Learn more.
- Click Get it now. This only appears if you are eligible for the bundle.
- Enter your e-mail address and click Check e-mail. If you already have a Disney+, Hulu, or ESPN+ subscription, use the e-mail associated with that subscription.
- Click Continue on the screen that talks about your existing subscription.
- Click Enroll in Disney Bundle.
- On the next page, review the info and select Go to Disney.
- Complete the process on the Disney+ website and log in to Hulu and ESPN+.
After you sign up for the service, get the Hulu app installed on your devices and use the same login credentials to log in to the Hulu app with your Disney bundle and start watching.
What Can I Do If I Already Have A Hulu Subscription
The process gets tricky if you already have a Hulu subscription, but converting your old Hulu account to the new Disney bundle is still possible.
If you have a Hulu subscription currently billed by Hulu, the bundle will not replace that subscription.
Instead, you will get a $6 a month credit on your bill until you stop the subscription to the bundle.
If you are on one of their live TV plans, you’ll need to cancel or change the subscription for the new bundle to be added to your bill.
The same goes for the annual plan; you’ll have to change to a monthly one from the new bundle.
For Hulu accounts billed by a third party, you’ll need to wait until the billing period is over before you cancel the old subscription and add the bundle to your existing Hulu account.
Final Thoughts
The free bundle is the best way to experience Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ without needing to spend a dime, but remember that you won’t be getting the best Hulu plans being offered.
The Hulu Live TV + No ads is their best plan, which you won’t get with the bundle, so it won’t be possible to watch live TV with the Hulu subscription you will get with the bundle.
