Dec 14, 2018 My 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee radio display will not turn off. Had to disconnect the battery to save it for tomorrow. Happened after my son hooked up his iPhone. What is happening? Joined Oct 5, 2018 · 105 Posts
Happened to me too, along with others. Mine resolved next day and I have no idea why or how it happened. I don’t think the integrated information-entertainment system is well executed in the Jeep. Joined Oct 22, 2011 · 538 Posts
What is happening is: you are only now starting to experience one of the thousands of quirks and glitches of the WK2, lol. That happens to me on occasion. Start it back up then shut it down again. This usually clears mine up after one or two attempts. Then there is the flashing red on the dash that notifies you that you cannot place the
transmission into gear because gnomes are roving about in the wiring harness and they are not to be rushed...then the interior lights that wont turn off or the windows that won't roll up...then the three beeps when you walk away indicating that the Jeep has unlocked itself randomly..then the one beep when it locks itself in an inconvenient moment and the door unlock sensor won't work...then...you get the picture, haha.

Is this really a thing ? I just
got a 2017 gc trailhawk , should I be ready to expect little random issues ? As we speak, I'm starting to think about how the parking brake engages every other time...

Lol good point. However, what I mean is, when I push down on the parking brake, it won't engage. Then I push down again, and it engages. It takes two times to engage. Occasionally three times. Might just have to get it tightened

I think they have to be fully released to disengage enough that they will engage again. Perhaps sometimes you are not letting it release fully... or it could just be a sticky ratchet.
Setup: Iphone SE firmware 15.31, Jeep Compass 2013 with RHW MyGig player firmware 2700. I dot know what is causing the problem that "freeze" the player in the car. I think it is the Iphone and the Bluetooth. When the dead of the player happen you are not able to turn it off. So far I have managed to reset the player by switching on and off the switch of
the car ignition several times. I have also Android phone and with that one I have not noticed any MyGig freezing.
